A gemstone occurrence located in sec. 34, T6N, R10E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) SE of Sunnybrook and about 6 miles SE of Ione, on private land. Operated by L. Mooney, Henry King, William Yerington, and F. R. Bequette. Idle in 1927. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of shallow holes only over a distance of about 400 feet.
Samples of the stone so far found are perhaps seamed and laminated so much as to permit cutting only rather small pieces, but may improve with depth.
