An U occurrence located in the W½ sec. 26, T19N, R20E, G&SRM, 14.8 km (9.2 miles) ENE of Joseph City. Owned by T. Gerwitz, Arizona (1953).

Mineralization is an U deposit with Bequerelite and a fluorescent U mineral(s)(probably autunite and/or tyuyamunite) in light brown, coarse-grained, bentonitic sandstone, containing abundant carbonized plant remains. Probably Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation. Radiation is 0.2 mr/hour.

Analysis test results: 4 samples @ 0.04-1.29% U3O8.
