A former U occurrence/mine located in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 14, T27N, R10E, G&SRM, SSE of Cameron and E of Gray Mountain (town), in the USGS Wupatki NE quadrangle. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 100 meters. Workings also in the NE¼ sec. 15. The USGS MRDS database groups Yazzi No. 1 and Yazzie No. 2 as a single file. Scarborough presents them as separate entities with separate production statistics.

Mineralization is an U-Mo deposit with uraninite and secondary uranium minerals in the Petrified Forest Member, Chinle Formation. The ore zone is 3.5 feet thick and at a depth of about 20 feet. Ilsemannite was identified. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.

Workings include surface openings comprised of a 100 x 150 x 30 foot deep open pit.

Production was 343 tons of ore @ 0.19% U3O8; 0.07% V2O5 (1956-1957).
