A former U occurrence/mine located in the center sec. 5, T28N, R9E, G&SRM, 6.0 km (3.7 miles) SW of Cameron.
Mineralization is an U deposit hosted in iron-stained sandstone of the upper Shinarump Member of the Chinle Formation. The ore is associated with fossil wood fragments in a sandstone lens. Radiation is 5x background. Local rocks include rocks of the Shinarump Conglomerate Member, Chinle Formation.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a shallow open cut 50 x 50 x 5 feet deep.
Production was 123 tons of ore @ 0.28%, U3O8; 0.13% V2O5 (1954).
