The development has taken place down a small valley. At the top end is a large filled shaft collar with associated tip of soft blocky mudstone extensively covered in a yellow, presumably iron, coat. In the small field on the opposite side of a track is a shallow depression presumably a trial adit and grassed over spoil heap. Looking down the valley a leat is quite apparent on the left hand hillside ending almost at the foot of the spoil heap from the shaft and below this beside the track is a wheel pit. Below the wheel pit is a prominent bank of material which must be a by-product of the mine. Further on on the left hand hillside is what appears to be another small tip, but this however is the result of much digging by the local badgers.
