A former mercury mine with cinnabar mineralisation in limestone, so-called 'Kanzelkalk'.

Mineralization was discovered 1787, mainly operated from 1837-1848 and 1892-1919, last operations were from 1938-1940.

Also known as Dallakkogel, Tallackkogel, Eisbach, Gratwein, Rein or Dallakberg near Gratwein.

The mine itself is located at approx. N47.12721 E15.29791 (adit) and N47.12811 E15.29559 (shaft), but minerals are found spread around because material from the dumps (with minerals in it) was used for road-building in this area.

Franz Bernhard located the minerals at a dump of prospective underground workings at 300 m east of the Scherer farm at an elevation of ca. 440 m asl. Located about 1.5 km W of Gratwein and about 700 meters SW of the Kalvarienberg Mt. Quarry at approx. N47.12882 E15.29958.
