Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein
Development: Sty bo claims located by the clarks in 1970. Area is just outside the proposed blue lake primitive area.
Geology: Lenses, pods, veinlets, and single crtals of stibnite are found along the shear zones, commonly with quartz. Stibnite is disseminated through the wallrock within two inches of the shear zone. Ore shoots occur at intersections of shear zones with cross-cutting faults. Locally, thin walled boxworks of quartz and yellow antimony oxides have formed around grains of stibnite, and limonitic boxworks also may be present. Pseudomorphs of limonite after stibnite occur. Quartz veins 4-10 ft. Wide cross-cutting and parallel to contact: veins dip into contact.
