Alteration: Silicification Of Carbonate About Shear Zone

Deposit: Pods, veinlets and crystals of stibnite occur where a shear zone intersects limestone. The property is on the northwest slope of surprise peak 1/2 mile west-southwest of the oswego mine. See lawrence (1963) p. 73 for geologic map of the prospect. ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Deposit type: Simple Sb (veins, pods, etc)

Geology: Pods, veinlets and individaul crystals of stibnite occur in a sheer zone which cuts the limestone. White, yello W and green antimony oxides occur near the surface. The carbonate has been silicified around shear zone and forms a prominent outcrop.
