Oxford granite pegmatite field.

Note: The summit of Pine Hill is located in Lovell. Morrill (1958), in Maine Mines and Minerals, places a chrysoberyl locality on the summit of Pine Hill in Lovell but also lists Pine Hill in Stow as a chrysoberyl occurrence. All references pre-dating Morrill (1958) mention only Stow for chrysoberyl. Assuming that Stow was the town of record, the access road to the locality may have been along the south fork of the Deer Hill Road, the east extension of which is discontinued, that led directly toward what is now called Lord Hill. Ledges are visible on satellite images of the slope of Pine Hill immediately on the north side of the Lovell town line and west of the Stoneham town line. The close proximity to the junction of three town boundaries may have confused the locality. It is also important to note that Lord Hill and Harndon Hill had their names switched about 1919, also leading to subsequent confusion.

Coordinates are for Pine Hill.
