An underground Zn-Pb-Ag-Cu prospect located in the center of the W½ sec. 33, T16S, R30E.
Ore material on the dump included galena, sphalerite, and malachite. A sample of this ore assayed 16.7% Pb, 3.41% Zn, and 10.2 oz/short ton Ag. A small trench adjacent to the shaft with chalcopyrite, chalcocite, galena, sphalerite, and malachite on the dump. The country rock is altered limestone. Three short adits NE of the Lead Lily shaft with sparse occurrences of galena and sphalerite.
Workings include a caved shaft which may have had 80 feet of workings judging from the size of the dump.
Bit of a side note. A major fire burned the area around the Lead Lily shaft and was so hot it scalded all the dump material and seems to have altered the outer cm or so of all the rock on the dumps. No idea what the various forms are on those pieces, they have not been analyzed but it is a curiosity.
