A former surface and underground Au-Ag mine. Discovered 1935. Operated 1941.
Mineralization is an epithermal - hydrothermal deposit in unnamed metasediments. Ore control was a detachment fault breccia pipe. Alteration is chloritizaton. Structural considerations include the position of the mine on the east side of a major N-S-trending fault, the Epperson fault. The mine is on the upthrown side. To the west are downthrown Mount Davis volcanics. The beds strike NNW in the mine area.
