A former Au-Ag-Pb occurrence/mine located in theW½ sec. 17 and in the E½ sec. 18, T26N, R15W, G&SRM, on the SW edge of the Music Mountains. The property consists of 7 claims. The district was discovered in 1879 by D. Southwick, Ed Burk, B. Hatch and Joe Prisk. Last produced in 1947. Coordinates provided in the USGS MRDS database file are general for the area. The USGS MRDS accuracy for this locality is not stated.

Mineralization is tabular ore bodies hosted in schist and gneiss. The ore body is tabular, strikes N30W and dips 80S at a width of 2.13 meters and a length of 1,609.3 meters. The local pluton is probably near 65 MY, Late Cretaceous to Early Tertiary. Sheeting cuts both gneiss and granite at N60W, 90. 2-Mica granite intrudes Precambrian gneiss nearby Music Mountain. Associated rocks include Late Cretaceous-Neoproterozoic diabase and granite. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.

Local geologic structures include schistosity that trends N30ºE, and dips 65ºSE.

Workings include underground openings with a length 457.2 meters and an overall depth of 60.96 meters and are comprised of 1 shaft at 200 feet deep, 300 feet of drifts (Ellen Jane), 700 feet of adits, shafts, winzes and stopes (Tomonotta, Cleveland & World's Fair). 400 feet below this is 1 shaft at 150 feet (1909).

Analytical data results: Ore averaged 5-8 ounces Au/ton.
