A former Pb-Ag-Au-Zn-Cu-Mo occurrence/mine located in the SE¼NW¼SE¼ sec. 33, T24N, R18W, G&SRM, ¾ mile NW of Chloride, on Bureau of land Management administered land. The property is comprised of 2 claims (Juno & Illinois). Previous owners include Evan Roberts, William Miller and E.T. Lloyd; James Beauchamp; Floyd Brown; J.H. Hall; R.W. Hall; Producers Mines; Joe Bonaspi; R. Blue and J. Trask; and Ray G. Hall. Owned by Intermountain Exploration Company, Nevada (1974-1977). Operated 1901 to 1948. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 500 meters.
JUNO MINE.
The Juno mine is situated in the low foothills about three-fourths of a mile northwest of Chloride, and is supposed to be located on the northward continuation of the Silver Hill vein. It is one of the early locations and was worked intermittently until about five years ago, when the shaft caved in, since which time work has been suspended. It was developed to the depth of 600 feet and equipped with a steam hoist. It is owned by E. T. Lloyd and B. Miller.
The vein dips steeply to the northeast. It is said to have been large on the surface, and the ore on the whole is rich. The surface ore was treated by a leaching process. The mine is stated to have produced much good ore and is regarded as a good property. Several operators have derived good returns from it.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. The ore body strikes N30W and dips 55NE at a width of 3.66 meters (10 feet). The mineralization is associated with a Late Cretaceous porphyry intrusion. Precambrian schistosity strikes N30ºE. Veins, fissures and dikes strike NW to NNW regionally. Sulphide ore is found at the 70 foot level. The associated rock unit is the Neoproterozoic Ithaca Peak granite. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 518.16 meters and an overall depth of 182.88 meters and comprised of an inclined shaft of 600 feet (now inaccessible) and a vertical shaft 150 feet deep plus a 370 foot adit.
