Structure: Ruby Hill Normal Fault Cuts And Downdrops The Orebody
Deposit: Ore zones controlled by fault zones, intrusive contact the property is located within the ruby hill area, the richest of the five mineralized blocks in the district. Exploratory drilling was done from the 900 level in the 1940's by the eureka corp and USBM. The drilling revealed p3-zn sulfide mineralization 2000 ft. Belo W the surface. The fad shaft was sunk to try and develope this ore zone. The locan shaft was originally sunk prior to 1920 in search for downfaulted ore along the ruby hill fault along with the lawton shaft and the kk shaft they comprised the workings of the eureka consolidated co. Development: Explortory drilling done from 900 level in 1940's by the eureka corp and USBM. Drilling revealed pb-zn ore 2000' belo W surface. Fad shaft was sunk to develop the ore locan shaft was originally sunkin 1920
Geology: A crosscut driven into the footwall of the ruby hill fault from the 840' level penetrated 450 feet of prospect mtn quartzite befor entering quartz diorite. The quartzite contained small amounts of mos2 throughout. On the 1200 foot level massive pyrite occurs along a fault zone.
