Sec 16 T31N R43E. Gold
Structure: Golconda Thrust Fault N-S Trending Steeply Dipping Faults.

Alteration: Strong Hydrothermal Alteration Of Chert & Shale.

Deposit: Sulfides in crushed zones along faults this was the first discovery in galena canyon and was located by mcbeth & fox in 1867. Early rich production occurred in 1870's, and more ore was produced from 1935 to 1940, sporadically. Workings include several shallow shafts open cuts and 600 ft. Of underground workings.

Development: Early rich production occurred in the 1870's with subsequent production from 1935 to 1940, sporadically.

Geology: Sulfide minerals occur in crushed zones along faults
