Deposit: Fault zone; spider web turquoise in hanging wall the mine was discovered in 1941. A 40 foot shaft encountered spider web turquoise in the hanging wall. The turquoise was of the highest grade found in america. The mine produced more than $200,000 worth of high grade turquoise ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Geology: Host rock for the deposit is strongly folded and faulted chert that strikes easterly. Turquoise occurs in a breccia and gouge zone, where it forms nodules in the gouge, and veinlets in the gouge & breccia
