Structure: Deposit In Upper Plate Of Roberts Mtn Thrust Area Is Cut By Numerous Imbricate Thrusts

Deposit: Chert & shale beds contain nodules of turquoise in darker shale beds. August steinich discovered the mine in 1929. The last owner of record was j.w. Edgar. Sevaral open pits constitute the development work at the mine. It has reportedly produced about $50,000 worth of turquoise mostly in the form of "Zuni" nuggets (morrissey, 1968) ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Geology: Gentyl folded beds of gray shale & chert contain nodules of turquoise concentrated in the darker shale layers.
