Sec 3 T28N R31E. Gold silver
Alteration: Silicification Of Granodiorite

Deposit: Located along southeastern margin of a large granodiorite stock ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept; 3 field observ workings along a shear trending n40-50e and dipping 50-70nw. Iron oxide alteration, some brecciation. Mineralization is in wispy streaks in the quartz and extends into the granodiorite. Andesite or mafic dikes occur nearby, east of the main workings. Sample 2830 is of breccia and quartz vein material with sulfides.

Deposit type: Placer Au-PGE

Development: Area worked between 1859 and 1915. No activity at time of examination in 1984.

Geology: Shear zone mineralization is characterized by a pinch-and-swell type of structure that define pods of sheared and brecciated strongly altered granodiorite, 2 to 4 feet wide and about 10 feet in diameter.
