Several quarries in granite (now all abandoned), owned by the Poschacher company (Fa. Poschacher) and the Schärdinger Granitindustrie company (western and eastern areas, respectively).
In the easternmost quarry, pyrite in cubes up to 3 cm in size occurred in 'Schlier' filling large (up to 0.75 m) cracks in tectonically fractured granite.
Nowadays (2012), the quarries are partly filled in.
Glauconite grains occur in the 'Schlier'.
