Structure: Several Normal Faults; Two Post-Mineral Faults

Alteration: Contact Metamorphic

Deposit: Silver ore occurs in flat-lying quartz veins 40 to 50 feet above basal clastics in northern part of the mine. Vein averaged about 2 1/2 feet thick. In much of the ore, the metallic minerals are minute particles disseminated through bands of quartz argentite (principal ore mineral) appeared As greenish stains or sooty spots. Scheelite occurs As small irregularly spaced shoots associated with stringers and pods of calcite and quartz along edges of old stoped areas of southern workings. The vein has been offset downward in a series of steps from east to west. Two other post-mineral faults form boundaries to the limestone block containing the vein.; model name could also be: polymetallic veins. Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein

Development: Actively worked for silver until about 1880, and worked on a small scale to 1965. The northern half was worked in the early years, the southern half later. Tungsten was discovered in 1919. ; econ.com: several million dollars worth of ore was mined.

Geology: Flat quartz veins follow bedding in prida, shaly, carbonaceous, limestones near contact with koipato rhyolite porphyry. Quartz veins contain pyrite, scheelite, jamesonite, silver haloids, copper carbonates.
