Actively mined gypsum deposit (one of the largest ones in the Eastern Alps).
Owned by Rigips Austria GmbH. The gypsum forms the hydration rim around an anhydrite lens which is also mined.

Located near Puchberg am Schneeberg, in the southeastern Gutenstein Alps (Gutensteiner Alpen).

Note: "Pfenningbach" is a misnomer.
