Structure: Locally, Beds Are Folded; Many Faults
Alteration: Silicification
Deposit: Fault zones filled with fissure vein quartz carrying fresh and/or oxidized clots, stringers and grains of sulfides, and coated with secondary minerals. Quartz vein is fractured and recemented with silica, vuggy and cut by fine quartz veinlets. The adjacent quartzite is cemented with silica and open spaces are lined with cockscomb quartz and filled with opaline silica. The quartzite is slightly gossany with abundant boxworks. The siliceous beds range up to 18 inches thick and are cut by intersecting faults striking n50w, dip 70 sw, & bedding plane faults dipping about 20 SE and faults striking due e-w, vertical. Jarosite is abundant.
Deposit type: Polymetallic veins
Development: No activity at time of examination, but dumped appear to have been milled or otherwise disturbed within last few years, possibly assessment work. Shafts dangerous-no fencing or collars. Suit was filed in 191.. By lloyd brothers of pioche who claimed ownership of the mine by prior location.
