A Cu prospect with underground workings located in sec. 15, T18S, R15E, 28 miles SE of Tucson on private land. It is just west of the Tiptop Mine and SW of the Copper Duke.
The prospect is on a thrust fault. The first 50 feet lies in crushed and silicified limestone or aplite and is more or less impregnated with copper carbonate ore associated with rusty iron oxide and hematite. On the 70 foot level is a 1½ foot vein of sulphide ore, composed mainly of chalcopyrite and pyrite. The ore body is tabular. Ore depth to bottom is 21.34 meters and its width is 0.46 meters. An associated rock unit is the Continental Granodiorite at 1440 ± 10 MY.
Local structures include thrust and normal faulting, fracture zones, homoclinal. Regional trends include tilting and broad open folds in the south and extensive faulting in the north.
Developed to 70 feet by shafts and drifts.
