Name(s) in local language(s):
Piè di Cavallo (Pizzo Cavallo; Roßhuf; Großer Roßhuf; Hoher Roßhuf; "Ghiacciaio di Valle del Vento"; "Windtalgletscher"; "Windtalkees"), Valle del Vento (Windtal), Valle Aurina (Ahrntal), Bolzano (Sud Tirolo; Südtirol), Trentino-Alto Adige, Italia

In 1928, A. Cavinato, mineralogist in the University of Padova, reported euclase from a cleft in grano-syenitic gneisses on the slope below Pizzo Cavallo (Hoher Roßhuf). A sample of this find is still kept by the Mineralogical Museum of the University of Padova (Inv. no. 6576).

Note: "Ghiacciaio di Valle del Vento (Windtalgletscher)" are misnomers.

The Austrian "version" of the locality is called Althaus glacier (Roßhuf glacier) (http://www.mindat.org/loc-57434.html).
Both may have to be merged, depending on where exactly the euclase was found in 1928.
