A former surface and underground Pb-Ag-Cu-Au-V-Mo-Zn mine located in sec. 36, T9S, R4E, adjoining the Jack Rabbit Mine on the W., and located about 2¾ miles W of Tat Momoli (Jackrabbit). Discovered 1898 and produced 1898-1946. Owned by O. T. Manning, E. L. Harris, & W. M. Mischer. Operators included O.T. Manning, F.C. Manning, and Bartlett McNatt. Additional names which apply to this locality: Tuba City Mining and Milling Co. property; Southern Arizona Mines Inc. property; Turning Point Aended MS 1353 patented claim; SW Desert Enterprises property; Legal Tender Amended MS 1353 patented claim; Golden Wonder Amended MS 1353 patented claim.

Mineralization is a vein deposit in a NE-striking, 65SE-dipping normal fault, hosted in Escabrosa Limestone, dipping 60E. Ore concentration was supergene enrichment. Ore control was a limestone cap as a barrier and andesite permeability. The highest grade ore was in andesite porphyry. Mineralization weakens downward. An associated rock unit is andesite

Workings include levels at 74, 154, 184, and 215 feet; surface trenching. A 10 stamp mill was built in 1902. Production included some high grade ore stoped and shipped in 1911. The mine worked intermittently until 1946. 1913 reported recovery of metals in amalgam and concentrates was about 60%. Values were $6-7/ton; sometimes over $100/ton.

The greatest potential for further production probably lies in the 600 feet of unexplored vein partially exposed NE of the shaft. The vein split junction 300 feet NE of the shaft would provide a likely target for exploration. A search for the western extension of the Turning Point vein W of the N-striking, W-dipping fault against which past operations ceased, might be profitable.

Assay data: $18/t Au and Ag in 1880-1900 (period values).
