The American Mineralogist (1935, p. 462) reported that nodules and spheres of pyrite crystals were found at the outcrop, though erroneously stated that the locality was in Cleveland Heights. The locality is within a very short walking distance from the Welsh Woods Picnic Pavilion, which is part of the Euclid Creek Reservation, itself part of the Cleveland Metroparks.
