An active quarry for building stone in the Detroit River Group and Dundee Formation.
The quarry is located in section 32, NW ¼.
The name of the quarry is derived from its proximity to the Auglaize River.
The Auglaize quarry is internationally recognized as a producer of iridescent fluorite.
In 2003, Stoneco was acquired by Oldcastle Materials Inc., and Stoneco's Ohio quarries became part of the Shelly Company.
Ernest Carlson (2015) lists this locality as the Shelly Materials Inc., Auglaize Quarry (formerly Stoneco and Maumee Stone Co.).
