At Punta del Fenaio the monzogranite is in primary contact with its wall rocks.

The most interesting mineral is allanite, which occurs in two different environments: as black tabular crystals in aplite veinlets cutting the monzogranite mass; as large brownish-black masses and tabular crystals (up to 3 cm), associated with diopside, quartz, K-feldspar (adularia), and minor epidote, in a small skarn body.
