Deer Lick Cave is an outcrop located west of the city of Brecksville, Cuyahoga County. It is actually a misnomer as it isn’t a true cave at all, but rather an overhang exposure of the Berea Sandstone.
A study done on the efflorescence of mineral species in Northeastern Ohio was done by H.E. Connors (1974). A sample was taken at the site and the sample proved to be minor calcite.
Deer Lick Cave is in the Brecksville Reservation, itself part of the Cleveland Metroparks.
