Several excavations and shafts were made into mineralized basalt in the N 1/2 SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec. 27 T48N R10W, northeast of Blueberry. Work continued at least as recently as 1901. Native copper mineralization was in calcite veins several inches wide. Grant (1901) describes abundant epidote, laumontite and prehnite associated with the copper.
