A former surface and underground U mine located on 50 claims in secs. 31 & 32, T2S, R15E, about ¾ mile NW of Pasadera Mountain, about ¾ mile SW of the Pioneer Stage Station, and about 2¼ miles WSW of the El Capitan ghost town site, South of Globe. Owned by G.A. Stacey & others, Clifton, AZ.
Mineralization is the Lucky Boy deposit, a manto-shaped orebody. Host rocks are strongly bleached & iron-stained strata of the upper member of the Dripping Spring quartzite. The average strike in the vicinity of the deposit is about N50ºW and the average dip is about 25SW. An associated rock unit is diabase.
The Dripping Spring is overlain unconformably by the Mescal Limestone, about 170 feet stratigraphically above the deposit, and is intruded by a discordant body of diabase about 50 feet below the deposit. The rocks in the area are tilted South by NW-trending block faults and are shattered by strong joints.
The deposit is predominantly stratigraphically controlled.
Workings include shallow bulldozed cuts and wagon drilling 13 vertical holes and two adits.
