A former underground Cu-Au mine on 14 claims South of the Shea Mine. Owned by the Grand Island Mining Co.; and, the Phelps Dodge Corp.

Mineralization is a 4 foot wide quartz vein on surface to 8 feet wide at the 200 level in porphyry schist and sheared diorite involving the Copper Chief fault system. The ore body is tabular. Country rock is diorite and greenstone. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration is minor chloritization and seritization in country rocks.

Area structures include foliation in metavolcanic rocks that trends N65E to N80E. Vein(s) trend NE and crosscuts foliation in Precambrian rocks.

Workings include a 520 foot deep shaft with a SW cross-cut on the 200 level. Produced some ore.
