A former underground Ag-Au-Pb mine located about 1 mile North of the War Eagle Mine. Started in the early 1880's. Owned by the Turkey Creek Gold & Silver Co. (early 1880's- ); and, G.R. Guynne (1926).
Mineralization is a vein deposit with galena ore. The vein is traceable for 3,000 feet. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation and enrichment at near surface. Alteration was minor. An associated rock unit is the Crooks Canyon Granodiorite.
Area structures include rather massive granodiorite and gabbro-diorite. Veins trend N-S to NNE.
Workings include a 100 foot deep shaft (1881); later, a 270 foot deep shaft and an adit 100 feet below the collar.
