Structure: Sandia Uplift-East Side Faults Las Huertas Fault And Several Minor Faults Off Of The Las Huertas Fault

Alteration: Gossan Is Found With Drusy Quartz In Vein Material Found On The Dumps.

Tectonics: Sandia Uplift

Commodity: There is no explanation of which particular, copper minerals were found.

Deposit: Discovery year: 1700's kelley and northrup (1975,p.100) give an excellent description of the las huertas fault and displacements but give no description of the vein system itself.

Development: The first reference to modern day operations came in 1879 in an article in e&mj stating there were 5 claims covering two lodes.

Geology: The precambrian mica schist has no formal name. The vertical seperation on the las huertas fault may be 2,000 ft. The wall rocks are considerably broken and dragged.
