A famous agate deposit is located approximately 50 meters south of the road from Horni Halze to Medenec, about 300 meters past the eastern edge of the village, in the fields.
The agates predominantly exhibit hues ranging from blackish-brown and rust-brown to orange and red. The deposit is therefore called Horni Halze cerna (Czech for black) to distinguish it from the agate deposit south of the village (Horni Halze cervena, Czech for red).
