This unnamed arroyo is roughly 1.2 km long by 400 m wide, and is located largely within the Carson National Forest. The arroyo cuts through cemented volcanics (described as "volcanic sandstone and shale" - Bingler, 1968) covered over with alluvium and bounded by sandstones - the volcanics are very soft and erode easily. Macrostrat only shows the alluvium, but there are large exposures of the volcanics and outcrops of the sandstone. The area is shot through with faults and fractures which host calcite (common), zeolites (uncommon), and baryte (rare).
The Small Fry prospect is an outlier, with small fluorite veins (most on the order of 1 cm thick, but some thicker) with minor baryte.
