The Xianglushan Rb-rich granite is located on the eastern side of the Yuechengling batholith. This granite intrudes into the porphyritic biotite granite. The main strata exposed in study area are the Middle Devonian fine quartz sandstone, argillaceous siltstone and silty mudstone. Based on detailed petrological and mineralogical studies in field, the granite can be divided into three progressive lithological zones from the east to the west, the lithology is mainly muscovite monzogranite, monzogranite and albitized granite. From the muscovite monzogranite through monzogranite to the albitized granite, a clear alteration trend from K-feldspar alteration to albitization could be observed.
