Köppen climate type:
The Devil's Golf Course is a slightly higher area of the Badwater Basin salt pan and so it rarely floods. It did not flood in 2023. Short salt pedestals, up to about 1 meter tall, form here from wind and rainwater dissolution and evaporation of the normally polygonal salt surface. They are decorated with crystals and efflorescent crusts.
