Predominantly hosted in the silty phyllite or carbonaceous phyllite of the Shuanghezhen Formation's second and third lithologic units, and locally in dolomite, with the Shuidonggou Formation silty phyllite defining the ore zones' eastern and northern boundaries. The estimated combined resources exceed 150,000 tonnes of zinc and 30,000 tonnes of lead, with zinc grades ranging from 2.30 % to 21.27 % and lead grades from 0.57 % to 4.40 %. The ore bodies exhibit an arcuate geometry, generally following a synformal flexure that is consistent with the strata, attributed to the Maopogou overturned anticline. The orebody exhibits stratiform and stratiform-like morphologies, indicating that ore formation was contemporaneous with sedimentation, and thus retains distinct original Sedex characteristics.
