Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Moderately NW-dipping, NE-SW-aligned, c. 1–5 m planar dykes (c. 400 m + strike length)
Discordant to wall rock fold limb, near hinge zone
Partly zoned pegmatites
Observation of a narrow (< 1 m) pegmatite dyke in an aggregate quarry prompted follow-up boulder mapping, percussion drilling, ionic leach till geochemistry, ground magnetometry surveying, and a 1500 m diamond drilling program. This work delineated two subparallel, NE-striking, and moderately (40 – 50°) NW-dipping spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes located approximately 300 m apart. The northwestern dyke is c. 0.5 – 5.8 m thick and has a minimum length of c. 200 m, while the southeastern dyke is c. 0.15 – 0.6 m thick with a minimum length of c. 90 m.
