Steinbruch Grellberg


A former abandoned and partly flooded quarry on the western slope of the Skoki 336m hill (Germ. Grellberg), right next to the old gravel pit. In the northern part of the gneiss ridge stretching over 3 km from the border with the Czech Republic, pierced by volcanic extrusions, approx. 2km north-west of Leśna (Germ. Marklissa).

The volcanic body belong to the Central European Volcanic Province (CEVP) consists of nepheline basalt.
