The Muncelul Mic Zn-Pb-Cu ore deposit in Poiana Rusca Mountains is hosted by Early Carboniferous metavolcanic rocks that are part of the Pades Group. The ore bodies in the Muncelul Mic area to belong to the VMS type, related to rhyolite lavas and tuffs that were subsequently metamorphosed. The deposit is considered in the present work to be of Early Carboniferous age and VMS type.
