A former underground Au-Ag mine located about 1 mile West of the Senator Mine, on the South side of Hassayampa Creek, and 6 miles South of Prescott. Produced 1910-1918.
Mineralization is a vein deposit that occupies a fracture in quartz diorite (Government Canyon Granodiorite); oreshoots are long and irregular. The vein strikes N.35ºW. and dips 70ºNW. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation and enrichment at near-surface. Alteration was minor.
Area structures include rather massive granodiorite. Veins trend N30W to N15E.
Workings include 4 tunnels between an altitude of 7,000 and 7,400 feet, plus a 200 foot deep shaft with drifts 200 and 350 feet long.
