A copper prospect on the south side of Church Mountain. The ore occurred as veins in argillite. It was developed by some prospect pits.
Structure: Church Mountain Thrust
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit: Cu-bearing fissure veins, from <1-42 in., are present in argillite of the chilliwack group. Fine-grained pyrite is also disseminated in wall rock. 7 unpatented contiguous claims. As of 1966, no ore had been shipped, although about 20 tons of ore from vein material, mined during trenching operations, is stockpiled there. ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept
Deposit type: Massive sulfide, kuroko
Development: Most of the work has been on red bird no. 7 claim, where several prospect pits expose veins. In 1957 an attempt was made to diamond drill the vein, but all holes were shallo W and little data was gained.
