Structure: Central Part Of Eugeosynclinal Portion Of Basin And Range In Western Nevada
Tectonics: Mobile Belt
Deposit: Uranium and possibly tungsten are present in skarn zone in auld lang syne sediments; too small to be economic. Quartzite bed in slate with adjacent thin (4-6 inch) pegmatitie sill, black to buff colored, strongly impregnated with yellow secondary uranium minerals. The thin quartzite appears to contain the highest uranium concentration, then the pegmatite. The hornfels near the quartzite contains only minor quantities. Autunite is present along fractures and bedding planes in schists, phyllites, and shales, in the roof pendant
Deposit type: W skarn
Geology: Numerous dikes of pegmatite and granodiorite intruded into metasomatized sediments of auld lang syne group preserved As roof pendants in nightingale batholith.
Rock formation(s): Nightingale Batholith
Auld Lang Syne Group
Ore(s): Igneous Contact, Fractures, Bedding Planes
