Alteration: Chloritization

Deposit: Group of mines appears to explore quartz veins. A 15 cm wide quartz vein exposed in the portal of one adit may be typical; pieces of vein matter on the dumps also suggest that the veins may be relatively narrow. The vein observed has an attitude of N 30 e, 30 se. Other horizontal workings may explore this same vein further uphill. Presumably the vein width was somewhat variable. The quartz vein matter is clear to milky, usually massive, but rarely crustiform or drusy. Ore minerals are rare in the sparse amount of vein matter on the dumps. Chalcocite? and green oxide copper minerals are present. Supergene chalcocite appears to enclose galena. The granitic wallrock seems relatively unaltered. A greenish, chloritized granodiorite porphyry dike? material was observed on one dump.

Deposit type: Polymetallic veins

Development: Inactive at time of examination in 1984. Prospected for molybdenum in early 1970's
