Mt Cara
A former gold mine with a 200 metre adit and worked several reefs.
"The Mt. Cara mine (including Mt. Cara, West Australian, Donnybrook No. 18, Donnybrook No. 2 85 and Duke of Wellington leases) are developed on a reef system 1,800 ft (550 m) in strike length and varying from a few inches to 10 ft. (3 m) wide. The system is apparently dominated by two
reefs 30 - 50 m apart which coalesce and bifurcate along their length.
Most underground development, apart from several small prospecting shafts, was confined to Mt. Cara where an adit was dug from the creek bank separating Mt. Cara and Hunters Venture."
