Nephrite in serpentinite above Alpe d'Ur (Alp d'Ur).

This is the first published finding of compact nephrite for Poschiavo, made in 1916 during the excursion of the Swiss Geological Society (Staub, 1916). According to the analytical data reported by Staub, Mg content in the nephrite-forming amphibole is 4.25-4.46 apfu (actinolite). The Swiss coordinates indicated in Dietrich & De Quervain (1968) for the nephrite occurrence are 798.380/131.700.
