Cepina is the largest settlement and the municipal seat of Valdisotto.

Mineralised fissures in gneiss have been found in the rocky material dumped near Cepina, derived from excavations for the new State Road SS38 (Romani & Mottana, 1997; Bedognè et al., 2006).
