Active limestone quarry.

The Marenne quarry is in the municipality of Hotton, and started working in the early 20th century.
The company that is currently working the quarry was put into operation in 1995 with eight workers.
It is engaged in the extraction of Givetian limestone. The extracted limestone is processed into rubble or limestone sand. This is then used by concrete factories, for road construction and to build railways.
The company produces about 200,000 tons of material each year.
